Happy Easter!

I love Easter, it seems like the one day out of the year we actually dress up to go to church:) I curled Avery's hair today for the first time, but only after bribing her with candy and Travis actually wore a tie!

"Look Mommy!" "It's Horton!" "I take care of him"

This egg was in my easter basket when I was little and it re-appeared today. I love this egg.

Easter is a day to be thankful for life, grace, free gifts, miracles and hope. God bless you all!

I just got back from WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas. I was great meeting new photographers and hanging out with old friends. Below are some crazy photos we took in a photo cabina booth at Becker's rockin party.

Clockwise from top left: Melissa Rich, Travis Hoehne, David Burke,Armin DeFiesta me:), Michael Norwood

Kenny Kim joined in on this batch, please take note of David Burke's crazy eye in the bottom left photo. Unreal.

Elizabeth Anne Designs

Photos from Sara & James' wedding were featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs a couple days ago. This website is an amazing resource for brides so you should check it out! They also featured photos from my snowy e-session with Ashley & Jason.

Thanks so much to the ladies over at elizabethanne for featuring my work and for providing such amazing and creative inspiration for brides. I'm going to keep spreading the word about you!

Rock for Water

So . . . I should have blogged about this a while ago, but things have been crazy, so here it is . . . last minute. My husband took a trip to the South Sudan back in November and came home inspired to do something. The need is so great there, but it's amazing the impact we can have on others if we just use what we have. So he spoke with a friend John Mark McMillan about a music tour in California to raise money to dig wells in the Sudan. John Mark was very excited about it and after contacting Aaron Strumpel it was on! We are now in the middle of the tour, We've played in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Bakersfield, we are playing tomorrow night in Visalia at the Cellar Door 8pm $5 cover, 21+, and two more shows in Redding and Fresno. You can go to for more info about the tour and upcoming stops. You can also give to the cause on that website!

Please watch this video, it's beautiful.

So to all you living in or around Visalia, or for all you up for a trip, come out to the show! It going to be a treat. And bring some money with you, you can save someone's life with a dollar.

roamie & kasper

Ok . . . so these are really two of the cutest kids in the world. Thanks to their mama Natalie (who happens to be a good friend) for letting your kids run around in the country with me! Here are some of my favs . . .

I loved her little "R" birdie

little roamie is so precious

This shot makes me laugh

This is my favorite kind of style for kids, colorful, playful & costumy, I'm always up for throwing in fun elements. Childrens photographs should make you wish you were a kid again!

I'm obsessed with this pettiskirt, I'm gonna have to get one for Avery!

She was lovin that lollipop :)
