Oh Marissa, how I love thee!

Marissa Van Groningen is graduating from Point Loma University and she came all the way to V-town so that I could shoot some photos of her! I actually shot her high school graduation photos, so it was super fun to get to do these. She is gorgeous, action-packed and downright hilarious! We had too much fun. Congrats Marissa, you rock my world!

The Wisdoms

Last month I had the priveledge of shooting Ashlee and Jason's wedding in Lake Tahoe. I stepped out of my hotel room to take in the most breathtaking view! We were thankful for the fresh batch of snow, and the brilliant blue skies. What an experience!

CD Release Show

So . . . tonight was a big night for my husband.

Over a year ago, he partnered with a good friend Aaron Estes to record five songs that he had written. So tonight, we finally had the long awaited CD release show.

We worked all day making home made covers for the cd's, with the help of many friends. Thanks to Jesse Weiss for the amazing artwork, we will cherish it forever. Thanks also to "the band" for all the time put in, it was fun having you around so much. And thanks to all who came out to support. We had so much fun and it was so great sharing it with friends and family!

I wanted to take this opportunity to brag about my husband. Not only does he have the most incredible heart, but he is an artist in so many ways, full of creativity, my inspiration and a complete pleasure to be around. I love living life with you and I would follow you to the ends of the earth :) Thanks for risking!

I had so much fun, let's do this again soon! Thanks to Chelsea Vander Kooi for grabbing my camera and shooting some pics.

Thanks Cellar Door for letting us come play!

Colleen & Sean

Last week I had the privilege of shooting Colleen and Sean. We romped around the countryside, got lost a few times, and I still have a pair of shoes that I haven't been able to remove the stickers from! It was all worth it though!

Easter

What a great day! I found myself overwhelmingly thankful for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, for the way out that He has made for us and the life we now live because of Him. All of this joy, all of this peace, all of this hope, all of this comfort, having nothing to do with circumstances, but everything to do with being accepted by God! Aaahh! It's worth celebrating! It was also Avery's 2nd Easter and really the first one she was able to participate in, so we had lots of fun. Here are some family photos.

Heart Cry

A couple weeks ago I had the priveledge of shooting some photos for the upcoming Heart Cry Conference. Lindsay was gracious enough to model for me, so we hopped in the car and headed up to Rocky Hill. I love these kind of projects! Let me know what you think.
